The Vision

The Alpha Business Upliftment Initiative, founded by Antonio Iozzo, was created to empower small businesses with potential, giving them the structure, mentorship, and resources needed to thrive. It is a leadership-driven programme built on accountability and belief, a model of empowerment that turns talent into independence, and discipline into opportunity.

The initiative identifies entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence, integrity, and passion for their craft, then provides them with the systems, tools, and guidance to build sustainable success.

A Chance Encounter

The story of Horsepower Motorsport began with a moment of chance and a display of character. While upgrading one of his personal vehicles, Antonio met Kenneth, the owner of Paced Motorsport, a small automotive workshop in Edenvale. The project had stalled, until Kenneth stepped in to help, dedicating long hours after work, leaving his own business unattended, and refusing any form of payment.

His integrity and selflessness stood out. Antonio saw in Kenneth the same values that define The Standard — commitment without condition, service without expectation. When he later visited Kenneth’s workshop, he found talent constrained by limited resources, outdated tools, and a failing workspace.

Antonio recognised potential where others might have seen struggle. He selected Paced Motorsport as the pilot project for what would become The Alpha Business Upliftment Initiative, choosing it not for profit, but for principle.

The Transformation

What began as a rebrand became a complete business reinvention.

Under Antonio’s leadership and with the support of the Alpha and IUM teams, Paced Motorsport was rebuilt and reborn as Horsepower Motorsport.

• Complete Workshop Renovation – structural upgrades, lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting, and the addition of a kitchen and bathroom.
• Exterior Facelift – a new façade and signage aligned with the revitalised identity.
• State-of-the-Art Equipment – new lifts, compressors, power tools, and diagnostic systems installed for precision and performance.
• Comprehensive Rebrand – a new name, logo, and brand identity that reflected trust and quality.
• Digital Infrastructure – website, computers, printers, and new costing models implemented to modernise operations.
• Owner Development – business and accounting training provided to ensure long-term independence.

Every decision was guided by purpose, to create a business that could deliver consistently, operate ethically, and compete confidently.

The Launch

The official relaunch of Horsepower Motorsport took place on 10 August 2024 at its upgraded premises in Eastleigh, Edenvale. It was more than an event, it was a celebration of transformation. Partners, sponsors, and community members gathered to witness the beginning of a new chapter, the rebirth of a business built on integrity, performance, and precision.

Antonio expressed his gratitude to all who contributed, acknowledging that meaningful change is always a collective effort.
